Example 4: dB Measurement

As a common measuring unit, dB has been widely used in electrical engineering,

radio science, mechanics, shock and vibration, mechanical power and acoustics

areas. Next, we will show you how to measure dB between two circuits.

Operating Steps:

Method1:

Measure dBm

and dBm

existing in two circuits separately refers to Example 3, and

then dB could be got:

dB = dBm

-dBm

Method2:

1. Press button to start AC Voltage Measurement and choose an appropriate

voltage range.

2. Connect test leads as Figure 2-8.

3. Set up dBm

according to Example 3.

4. Press  dB, set parameters of dB operation (dBm

5. Press  ON to open dB measurement function. At this time, the reading

shown on the screen is the Power difference between two circuits.
